I cannot thank you enough for the vids. I just ate up a better part of my Sunday watching you, and to be honest, I dont mind it at all. I look forward to seeing more of youer videos in the future. Rossy, Houston TX
post a repelling vid it rocks do it do it do it
Oh my god, how do you carry an 80 pound pack…
took 5 days but I made it
Watched all.. brilliant, not as experienced as you, i got some good ideas from your vid. knee pads being 1.
and lastly look at the pak-light torch and bushbuddy wood burning stove. thanks for a enjoyable hour or so
PEACE
didn’t agree with sit pad.. whats wrong with your rucksack? surprised you didnt mention waterproof trousers. you like comfort, use a silk sleeping bag liner, also keeps bag clean. you should try a pair of crocs instead of sandels, weigh nothing, more comfy, look stupid
think i’ll watch them again in case i missed something
i like to bring a harmonica, it weights next to nothing and gives an old-time feel around the campfire
NnF,
Well done series – very much centered on older style base-camp camping. Not what I would call multi-day backpacking, but thats semantics. Curious what your average lbs pack weight would be say for a 5~7 day Spring/Summer/Fall backcountry trip would be.
Backpacking is very much about individual tastes and styles – thanks for sharing yours NnF!
Cheers,
Brer
nice chain of videos
wow………wat a marathon…..but worth it….u gave me some great ideas bout future trips of my own. Keep up the great work!!!
I’ve got a male lab like Alie, he’s got terrible knees… was wondering what breed of lab Alie is. My vet says labs are prone to bad hips/knees, and my dog is pretty darn active.
can anyone tell me a good MRE brand for emergency use?
Thanks Nutinfancy, that was an awsome series. I used to go camping and backpacking a lot when I was in my 20’s. This series makes me want to get back into shape and start doing it again. Thanks
A good MRE type brand that I love is “Mountain House.” If you have a Jetboil stove you can prepare a Mountain House meal in minutes.
is it hard to put that vest on ur dog? i have a feeling my dog would go nuts if i tried to put a vest on him even if it was for his own food lol
excellent. Just what I was looking for. Very helpful- for the intended audience- just like me.
Thanks a bunch.
Thanks a lot for this and other backpacking videos.
Thanks Nutn, that must have taken a lot of effort to string those 8 vids together. Well worth the watch, I’m getting geared up for some adventure now.
me too haha
Thank you so much Nutn, you take a lot of time and effort to help others be better prepared. That is honorable and noble. I salute you Sir.
Nutnfancy, I want to thank you for doing what you do. im planning on going out on my first extended hike on the appalachain trail. your gear reviews have been really helpful in educating me about whats out there. i want to thank you again for doing the videos. keep up the good work
