“Backpacking Tents” by Nutnfancy, Part 1
PART 1 of 3 ////////////// Sleeping under the stars is a bit overrated for me. Seems the bugs attack, the critters find you, the wind blows away your body heat, frost and condensation soak your bag, then the rain falls, and no matter what your gear gets filthy. A minimalist tent tarp, bivy, or floor-less tent are some ways to avoid to some of those hassles. But my favorite option is a quality designed and constructed lightweight backpacking tent like the ones profiled in this Nutnfancy …

If arm chair leaders show up and criticize you? We are just commenting. If you don’t like what we say, then turn off your comments. We will say what we want, when we want. If that isn’t cool for you, then too damn bad. Like I said. Turn off the comments then. You video on your little pea shooter .22 rifle was a joke. The tent info….A little more interesting. So carry on…
i love the rockies so beautiful

I love how you just admited to being an arm chair leader. You must have spent little time watching his movies, he reviews .45 autos to ak47’s to ar-15’s. Your a joke.
I don’t remember anyone talking to you…. STFU, dip shit.
Neo, he clearly WAS referring to his dog.
Nutnfancy – you should check out Hilleberg tents – they really are the tent for all things, all weather, all seasons – bombproof, light, roomy, and easy to carry and set up. I have the Akto solo tent (actually room for a guy and girlfriend). Their Kaitum 2 and 3 fall into the roles of the tents you show here and are 4 season and light. the Kaitum 2 man comes in at around 5lbs 7 oz.
Check them out, truly quality gear from an outstanding Swedish company.
Great vid Nutnfancy
and another great vid by nutnfancy
Great info. However I just purchased the Hilleberg Atko and find it to be one of the best tents I have ever owned. Talk about “fire power and mobility,” it’s doubled walled, has vestibule, completely waterproof, built for hurricane winds, four season and the whole package has a pack weight of 3lbs. It’s pricey, but quality comes at a premium. I thought it was well worth the investment.
nutin has so much damn knowledge on so many topics I appreciate it so much that he is willing to take the time to give his thoughts and experience on so may topics.
he dose stuff from scooters to AK’s — hand guns to kiting and it is all covered in so much detail with years and years of experience behind all of his proven systems. on top of all that he has/is fighting for us to keep our freedom with his milltery duties
I don”t see nutin packing a hammer so I wounder how he drives the stakes
the backpacking seres is what got me watching nutnfancy project
Great video, Nut.
Haha, love the “shaka” at 13:02!
Thanks nutnfancy. I just purchased a North Face Rock 22 tent for $71 dollars. It’s not the best tent, a bit heavy and a bit small, but for the price and for my POU – A high-value one man tent – it works well.
4:20 ur dog is biting bugs lol
lol allis like…..youarent gona let me out to go hiking???
You lucky as m fer….That sh?ts beautiful
Just wanted to compliment the music.
The vid was great as always but the music and scenic shots…wow…cant wait for my trip in 2 weeks.
Thank man
take a look at our tipi tents at wyominglostandfound
epic with the pictures and music..
Great vid, I’m off to watch the next ones. I really like my 4 man A frame Timberline Outfitter by Eureka. Its not really a backpacking tent (10 lbs) but it can take some punishment. I’ve camped with it mostly in Canada on the Great Lakes (Georgian Bay) and almost always have to set up in rain or constant wind and I can set it up alone in about 10 minutes or less. Its stood up to constant 40mph winds with 60mph gusts with rain quite well.
